Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions (terms) apply to the AdaptNSW Forum (the Forum; the Event) held at the Roundhouse, UNSW Sydney on 25–26 November 2025.

The terms govern your purchase of the tickets for and attendance at the Forum, and it is your responsibility to review these terms prior to the purchase of tickets. By purchasing tickets, you agree to be bound by these terms. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time and will provide the most recent version on our website.

1. Event Booking and Ticket Purchase

  1. The ticket prices are inclusive of GST and any booking, handling, credit card surcharge or postage fees specified on our website.
  2. Ticket prices may be subject to change, and AdaptNSW Forum will use best endeavours to inform you if there is a change.
  3. You may make a booking and/or purchase a ticket for the Event via the website
  4. Full payment must be received within 24 hours of booking or registering for the event. If full payment is not received by this time, the booking will be cancelled with no notice to you;
  5. Your booking is confirmed when you receive an email notification and receipt from AdaptNSW Forum. We will maintain a list of confirmed attendees for the Event, and you may gain entrance to the Event by presenting your e-ticket. You will not receive a hard copy of the ticket.

2. Refunds, Credits and Transfers

  1. All ticket sales are final. No exchange, credit or refund will be given except in the case of certain cancelled or rescheduled Events (see clause 3 below). For clarification, you are not entitled to a refund if:
    1. you are no longer able to attend the event; or
    2. you arrive late
  2.  A ticket booking is transferrable to another person on the following conditions:
    1. A request is submitted by email to info@adaptnswforum.com.au containing the replacement guest name, business name and email address.
    2. The request is submitted at least 48 hours prior to the event. The AdaptNSW Forum reserves the right to refuse entry if a replacement guest arrives at the event without the ticket being transferred via this procedure.
  3. Tickets are valid only for the named ticket holder and are not transferable on site. Photo identification matching the ticket name may be required for entry. 
  4. Tickets purchased for multiple days are valid for the same ticket holder on all days and cannot be shared between individuals. For example, a two-day ticket may not be used by one person on the first day and a different person on the second day.

3. Event Cancellation or Postponement

  1. Sometimes Events are cancelled, varied, rescheduled or postponed due to Force Majeure Events, situations which affect the speaker or other causes.
  2. If the Event is postponed:
    1. you may, at your option exercisable by notifying us in writing no later than 30 days after the originally scheduled date of the postponed Event, obtain a credit for the ticket ; or
    2. if you so elect, or if you fail to notify us in writing of your request for a credit within 30 days after the originally scheduled date of the postponed Event, your ticket will be automatically transferred to the new date for the postponed Event.
  3. If the Event is cancelled and/or a new date for the Event is not announced within 60 days of the postponement/cancellation:
    1. in circumstances where the Event is cancelled due to a Force Majeure Event, you will be given a credit for the ticket price to put towards another of our Events that occurs within 12 months of the originally scheduled date of the cancelled Event (no refunds will be issued);
    2.  in circumstances where the Event is cancelled for any reason other than a Force Majeure Event, you may, at your option exercisable by notifying us in writing no later than 30 days after the originally scheduled date of the cancelled Event, obtain a refund of the ticket price (excluding booking, credit card and other fees). If you so elect, or if you fail to notify us in writing of your request for a refund within 30 days after the originally scheduled date of the cancelled Event, you will be given a credit for the ticket price to put towards another of our Events that occurs within 12 months of the originally scheduled date of the cancelled Event.
  4. We will use reasonable endeavours to notify ticket holders of a cancellation, variation, rescheduling or postponement of the Event by sending an email to the address provided to us by the ticket holder and putting a notice on our website; however the responsibility to ascertain whether the Event has been cancelled, varied, rescheduled or postponed is yours. We do not guarantee that ticket holders will be informed of a cancellation, variation, rescheduled or postponement before the date of the Event.
  5. Except as expressly provided in this clause 3, in no circumstances will ticket prices (or any part thereof) be refunded or credited. Any refund or credit issued will be your sole remedy for a postponement or cancellation of the Event, and we will have no further liability to you in respect of any cancellation, variation, rescheduling or postponement of the Event for any reason.

4. Event Conduct

  1. You are expected to behave in a professional and appropriate manner at the Event. We reserve the right to refuse entry or require you to leave if your behaviour is deemed unacceptable.
  2. Attendees must adhere to venue rules, security procedures, and public health or safety protocols. Failure to comply may result in denied entry or removal without refund.
  3. You acknowledge that cameras, audio and video recorders may not be permitted at the event.
  4. Filming and photography will take place at the AdaptNSW Forum.You consent to being filmed or photographed by AdaptNSW Forum, and to AdaptNSW Forum using your likeness or image in such photographs or films for the purpose providing the content online, post event. No remuneration is payable for such use.

5. Limitation of Liability

  1. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions and warranties relating to your purchase of tickets for and attendance at the Event.
  2. Where our liability cannot be excluded, such as in relation to Consumer Guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law or other prescribed terms under legislation, our liability for breach is limited to the face value of the ticket purchased by you, plus any relevant booking and delivery fees.
  3. We will be excused from performance under these Terms and in relation to the Event to the extent such performance is affected by a Force Majeure Event.

6. Miscellaneous

  1. These Terms shall in respects be governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New South Wales to determine any matter or dispute which arises under these Terms.
  2. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, all or part of that provision will be severed from the Terms and will not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions of the Terms.
  3. No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term. Any failure to assert any right under the Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right.
  4. In these Terms, a “Force Majeure Event” means any of the following (whether or not foreseeable or anticipated): acts of God, terrorism, war, civil unrest, strike or labour dispute, lack of transportation, breakdown, labour or material shortage, blockade or embargo, supplier failure, epidemic or pandemic, government restriction or recommendation, legal requirement, extreme weather, earthquake, drought, fire, flood, explosion, natural disaster, and/or any other event, cause or circumstance that is beyond our reasonable control.
  5. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between AdaptNSW Forum and you in relation to the event.
